Getting weight-sensitive trading right in sales, tax and stock
Corrections to weight-based sales, VAT, cost, credit and inventory behaviour in an existing trading implementation.
The challenge
Trading workflows depended on accurate weights, precise costs, correct VAT and consistent inventory and credit controls.
My role
Odoo developer delivering specific fixes within the existing trading system.
What I worked on
- Corrected VAT recomputation when actual weight changes.
- Preserved entered fixed weights on quotations and sales orders.
- Refined unit-cost and margin calculations.
- Addressed delivery weights, lot reservations, availability checks and partial-credit weight/approval behaviour.
